It was Darryl that first had the idea to get his neighbouring merchants together in the collective effort of improving our business area. He went door to door and gather us together. It took a few years to pass several administrative hurdles, but eventually, in 20XX, the City made our BIA official with Darryl as our founding Chair. He organizes our monthly meetings, and the related monthly submissions, along with much of the documentation surrounding our annual budgets, and AGM agenda — all the while maintaining a strong consensus among our diverse board. In his first term he single handedly developed our social meeting presence, and continues to be involved in almost every committee in one role or another. He keeps us plugged into wider goings at City Hall and the world of BIAs through his role as a Director of TABIA.
